One of the things that makes STAR WARS’ heartbreak tolerable to me is knowing that an afterlife of some sort exists, that it’s possible for these characters who suffered so much in their lives and deserved so much better, get to carry on as FORCE GHOSTS long enough to see the galaxy set to rights again or to find the peace they could never achieve during life.
