Congratulations! You kept Portland exquisitely weird. š
I mean, I donāt think I can take credit for this since I havenāt lived in the Northwest in fifteen years, but I will say that the dailies from Star Wars IX look great.Ā
Genderbending cosplay is nothing new, we see it all the time. Usually itās hot chicks dressed as sluttier versions of male characters, but we rarely see manly-men, like Dr. Teng above, dressed as scantily-clad lady characters.
Iād actually kind of like to see this idea pushed all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum ā like dudes cosplaying as super suave and macho versions of half-nekkid chicks. I wonder if the characterās would even still be recognizable.
@bikiniarmorbattledamage some empowering male cosplay and a lovely example of giving men the same skimpy outfits as their female counterparts. A truly wonderful cosplay, if I do say so.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the amazingĀ @jerseytigermoth drew Accidental Space Pirate Obi-Wan Kenobi. A slightly less long time ago I decided to try to cosplay him based on her designs (chest hair and all!).
T_______T I WILL NEVER BE OVER THIS.
It looks so amazing and you did such an incredible job and I still canāt quite believe you liked my artwork so much you spent time, money and so much effort on making it a reality!!!! YOU ARE EXCELLENT.
The Mantle of the Tempest in action. This was actually the first time Iād been able to try it on full length because it doesnāt really fit in my apartment. So I couldnāt resist asking @commandercait to snap a few self indulgent pictures on my phone while we were up in the mountains. Itās unwieldy as all hell and I need someone to help me foof it out and adjust it once itās on, but I kinda love that itās just so freaking obnoxious. I feel like dnd always has this kind of ridiculous and cliche melodramatic undertone that needs to be gleefully embraced with the full power of a 1980s fantasy novel cover, so for Keyleth that translates into āIām gonna wear a literal tree and no one can stop me.ā Ā
okay but people need to read the article to see the additional photos because she also did Korra-era Toph and the original Rita Repulsa oh my god!! What a great lady!
I cosplayed Edna Mode from The Incredibles at Holiday Matsuri and needless to say I spent the day hunting down characters with capes and getting irrationally angry at them
