Coming soon: MyTransHealth, an app connecting trans people to knowledgeable, reliable and affordable healthcare providers.

19% of trans people have been refused healthcare because of their gender identity. 50% of trans people have had to teach their doctors about trans-related medical care. 28% of trans people have been harassed in medical settings. This app is desperately needed. Follow them at mytranshealth

I AM CRYING HOLY SHIT. This is so important. You know I’m serious because I am actually using these things called capitalization and punctuation. You guys. Please. Please boost the hell out of this. It means so much.

*SLAMS THE SHIT OUT OF THE REBLOG BUTTON*

omg pls make this international / not just US-centric!

We won’t rest until every trans person on the planet has access to safe, affordable, and reliable health care.

god, lesbians are so different from men it’s pretty insane that some people try to group us with them. the amount of lesbians i’ve seen genuinely terrified that they’re making another woman uncomfortable and doing everything in their power to make sure that woman feels safe EVEN IF the other woman feeling uncomfortable comes from lesophobia and isn’t valid at all is wild. like i think some of us who worry we’re “perpetuating the male gaze” or whatever forget that men literally NEVER think of these things, they never think, “oh am i making her uncomfortable? i’m afraid that i am” like. holy shit if a man ever said that i think i’d have a stroke from how surprised i would be

hey this post actually goes double for trans lesbians who have an even more harmful predatory stereotype against them, y’all are wonderful and not predatory thank you

As much as I like the non-binary flag I’d prefer it if people could just remember that the white part of the trans flag

represents non-binary people and stop treating people who don’t fit the gender binary as “less tans” than binary trans people

Lots of non-binary people have felt worried about if they’re allowed to call themselves trans, or if they’re “trans enough” to use the trans flag or join in during trans events like trans visibility days without even knowing that the white stripe on the trans flag is for us non-binary/genderqueer/genderfluid/agender/intersex/etc folk.

I feel like it is important that the white stripe is recognised because currently so many people who don’t fit the gender binary feel less valid as trans people than binary trans people.

Things I need in life and am willing to write myself to make it happen:

A modern adaptation of Dracula where everything is the same but Jonathan harker is a woman

Like cute nerdy recent law school grad Joanna Harker and her equally nerdy English teacher fiancee Mina and she gets her first job at a law firm and its sorting out some real estate paperwork for a foreign aristocrat and she’s very excited to be trusted with such an important task and she films Mina cute video diaries from her phone as she travels whenever the signals to weak to call her and then dracula’s castle is a deadzone (bc of supernatural bs or just cuz it’s the middle of nowhere) so she can only send out super censored letters and but she’s still filming and taking photos and her last video before she escapes is her saying goodbye to Mina because the phone is going to die and then it plays out like it does in the novel

And listen it would be so good and we’d get happy ever after vampire killing lesbians what more do you want

#and
I think it takes away a lot of the gross ‘sex is inherently evil and
predatory’ readings of the original text that ppl are so fond of
#by instead presenting the count as a figure of toxic masculinity #also I really just want vampire hunting lesbian nerds who pledge to follow each other into hell but get a happy ending #and Jonathan/Mina is at the core a story of survival and recovery from abuse and finding happiness despite trauma #and I think that’s the kind of story gay people are so very often deprived of #so yeah I want this #also I would ideally cast angel coulby as Mina because she would be perfect #and maybe Ellen page as Joanna #so picture that please #also!
it would further cement drac as a villain because he’s trying to tear
these women apart and there’s a lot to be explored in terms of
#the violence wlw face from straight men #without killing any of them off #like suddenly drac trying to turn Mina takes on a whole other level of horrifying #instead of being romanticized like so many male directors are fond of doing

if you’re lgbt and a transmisogynist like i’m really sorry you’re an idiot and don’t realize trans women literally created this community cause that’s really sad, like we wouldn’t have a community without them. you waving your pitchfork and incomprehensible rhetoric  to thank them is sad. and all i’m gonna feel in response is utter secondhand embarrassment for how stupid you are. like you’re dumb bye

don’t just like this, reblog it! let trans women know you love and support them in this community!

As we approach June and the anniversary of Stonewall, I just want to remind everyone that twerfs/terfs have no connection to the spirit of Pride or Stonewall. Those were founded by the very people they want to dehumanize, and twerf ideology aligns with the anti-lgbt.

Trans women were the founders of LGBT liberation and too many people are trying to deny that (these people are transphobes)
